![]() ![]() There are a lot of layers that have gone into this story which I really appreciated and I think the author did an amazing job of working these in with no major flaw. The first think I noticed starting Rules for Vanishing, was how complex the writing style is. ![]() Rules for Vanishing had so much I loved, and I definitely think this is a perfect Halloween read. I was very nervous going into Rules for Vanishing, YA mystery/horror is a genre that is definitely outside of my comfort zone but I am so glad I gave this book a chance. Trigger Warnings: Child abuse, off the page attempted suicide and murder This small group of friends are ready to uncover the truth, with their camera’s in hand they follow the path and hope that they will be able to survive. When a mysterious text message invites Sara and her estranged friends to ‘play the game’ and follow the local ghost story, Sara is sure this is the only way she is able to find Becca. ![]() Sara has settled back into high-school life but after Becca’s disappearance her friend group has never been the same. ![]() It’s been one year since Sara’s sister, Becca, followed the road in search of Lucy and was never seen again. This follows the little town of Briar Glen, where once a year, a path appears and the ghost of Lucy Gallows beckons. All my thoughts and comments are entirely my own.
